My Predictions for Spider-Man: No Way Home

Are you ready?

The second trailer for Morbius came out today, so that put me in a Spider-Man mood. No Way Home is just around the corner. December 17 can't come soon enough. So, to build my anticipation as well as everyone else's, here's my theories and predictions for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

It will lead into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to be one of the craziest films of next year. Rumors have said that this could turn the MCU upside down. Who knows what will happen in this movie. Some rumors have said it's a horror movie. Some have said that Loki might appear. I don't know what's going to happen, but I know that No Way Home will be the first movie in the MCU that actually explores the effects of the multiverse. Loki created it, and No Way Home is going to show us how fast our sacred timeline is being destroyed. And, of course, Doctor Strange is in No Way Home, so his next movie will definitely be affected by this film.

Most of the classic villains will be boss fights throughout the film

There's no way you can re-introduce five or six major Spider-Man villains from past movies and develop them all and have them all be big characters. You already have to deal with Peter Parker, Doctor Strange, MJ, Ned, Aunt May, and Happy Hogan. When you add Doctor Octopus, Electro, Green Goblin, Sandman, and Lizard, you have a lot of character you have to juggle. The likelihood is that none of these characters are the big bad of the movie. I think that they will be sprinkled across the film as cool little fights that Peter has to win. I'd say that Doc Ock and Electro have the biggest chance of being major players, only because Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx were confirmed to be returning. Otherwise, I think those characters will just be fight scenes.

Venom will be the missing villain

In the after-credits of Let There Be Carnage, Venom is transported to the MCU. He sees Spider-Man on the TV broadcast and has a pretty hostile reaction towards him. In the first trailer for No Way Home, there are five villains teased: Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. Assuming they are going for the Sinister Six, we are missing one villain. The end of Let There Be Carnage teases that Venom will appear in No Way Home, and he is traditionally an enemy of Spider-Man, and I think that it would be awesome to see our usually heroic Venom take on Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

There will be other big surprises that haven't been rumored

We know that Morbius is in the same universe as Venom, which is probably also the MCU. Vulture was teased to be returning in the after-credits of Homecoming and further teased in the trailer of Morbius. I think that he will be back in this movie. Along with that, I think that Morbius could make a cameo before his solo film comes out in January.

Miles Morales will be introduced/teased

Even though it's only been six years, it feels like we may be nearing the end of Tom Holland's Spider-Man. This third installment seems to be teasing that he's going to give up the mantle...so I think it's the perfect time to introduce Miles Morales. The one thing that I don't love about this is that No Way Home already has a lot it's trying to do. Bringing all these characters back is enough in and of itself, and I think trying to wrap up Peter's Spider-Man and moving on to Miles might be a bit too much. I do think it's more likely that he will be teased instead of given the mantle of Spider-Man, but it will be cool either way.
