Fifteen minutes ago, the final trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League dropped. The film is streaming this Thursday, and I am ready to spend a whopping four hours of my life on this thing. I don't know what to expect, but so far, these trailers have me excited. Here are my thoughts on the final one.
This definitely looks like a better version of the first Justice League. Darkseid is one of my favorite villains in the DC universe, so his inclusion in this movie makes me very interested. But add on the Joker, Deathstroke, Martian Manhunter, possibly Green Lantern and possibly Supergirl, and this is suddenly one of the most exciting projects of the year.
I am a little bit worried, though. I strongly dislike both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, which are Zack Snyder's interpretation of two iconic DC superheroes. Who knows what this movie has in store. It will be epic, it will be cool, but I just don't want it to be like those previous two films.
This film has the potential to redeem Snyder's vision of the DCEU. I want this to be great. I want the DCEU to succeed just as much as the MCU has. DC's hero and villain roster is ridiculous and better than Marvel, and if this works, we could be in for a fun couple of years.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is released straight to HBO Max this Thursday.
