Today was Disney+ Day! I was kind of disappointed. I expected more announcements on all fronts. Last year, we got Disney Investor Day (I don't know why they changed the name) and got a gazillion announcements from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel. Today, we got like three new Marvel projects, barely anything from Star Wars, and a bunch of direct-to-video quality projects from Disney and Pixar. However, some of the newly announced shows are exciting. So here's my ranking of the upcoming MCU TV shows, ranked by my anticipation.

18. I Am Groot
For me, Groot is not the most interesting character. I think he's a good addition to the rest of the Guardians, but by himself, I don't know how this will work. Even worse, this is like a series of shorts that star Groot. This is a really strange step for a TV series/special, and I don't know why Marvel is wasting their breath to produce this.
17. Spider-Man: Freshman Year
I don't really know what this show is. The logo looks like Into the Spider-Verse, so I'm not sure what exactly is going on here. Is this Peter Parker? Is it Miles Morales? If it is Peter, is it Tom Holland's Peter? I can't exactly get excited for this show because I know two things about it: the title and the fact that it's animated. Neither of those really get me excited for it, even though I love Spider-Man.
16. Ironheart
Let me say this: I am much more excited for Ironheart than I am for I Am Groot and Freshman Year. The thing that makes me somewhat skeptical about this show and a bunch of other shows coming in the near future is that this just seems like a gender swap of Iron Man. In Phases 4 and 5, there's a lot of that. She-Hulk, Jane Foster Thor, Kate Bishop, etc. I'm sure all of these characters will be interesting. But I would like an original female hero, like Captain Marvel or Black Widow. Not just copies of our Infinity Saga heroes that happen to be women.
15. Untitled Okoye Series
I am very skeptical of all things Black Panther. I don't know how Chadwick Boseman's tragic passing will be handled, and until then, all of my expectations for the future of Wakanda are tempered. Including this show. I like Okoye a lot, but she's another one of these characters that I don't think can hold their own show. Now, after Wakanda Forever, my opinion on this may change. But we haven't seen that movie yet, so I'm placing it here.
14. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
The prelude to Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 is coming in 2022, and it's a strange little homage to the Star Wars Holiday Special. I think that this will be a fun little TV special that will get me more excited for Guardians 3. My guess? I think this will introduce Adam Warlock to the MCU. I am excited for this, but there are more interesting shows coming soon, so I can't put it very high.
13. Echo
The character of Echo will be introduced in Hawkeye. I'm sure that my excitement for this show will increase after Hawkeye, then. But, yeah. I have no clue who this character is or what she does. To my knowledge, she hasn't appeared in any of the trailers for Hawkeye. Once again, after Hawkeye, I will probably have more of an opinion on this show. But, as of right now, I can't rank it any higher.
12. Armor Wars
This show will be interesting. War Machine is a cool character, and I think that he will be good in his own show. Besides him starring, there's not really any other information about this show, so I don't really know anything about this. As it gets closer, Armor Wars will climb this list. But as of right now, it's very far away, so I'm not super hyped for it.
11. Untitled Wakanda Series
Like Okoye, my expectations for this show are tempered by Chadwick Boseman's death. However, I think Wakanda is one of the most interesting locations in the MCU and I'm very excited to explore it. Also, Ryan Coogler, who directed Black Panther, is overseeing production of this show. So that has me very excited.
10. What If...? Season Two
The first season of What If...? was a good exploration of the multiverse that ended on a pretty low note for me. I loved where they took episode eight, but episode nine disappointed me. However, I think they can take another season in a very interesting and fun direction. I don't know when the second season comes out, but I am excited to see if they include Shang-Chi or the Eternals or Yelena Belova. It will be a cool return to the multiverse.
9. Marvel Zombies
On Disney+ day, four new shows were announced/confirmed. And two of those were animated, which I found strange. What If...? was animated, yes, but I thought that that'd be the only animated Marvel show we'd get. Apparently not. Zombies is a cool Marvel storyline that was explored in What If...?, but will be explored further/differently in this show. I'm excited for this. It won't be very impactful, but I think it could be cool.
8. Ms. Marvel
I got to know Kamala Khan through the Avengers video game. While I didn't enjoy that game, Ms. Marvel was an interesting character that I think will fare well in the MCU. When we got the Marvel Special Look on Disney+, there was a short teaser for Ms. Marvel...that I did not like at all. It looked incredibly strange. But I still think this show has potential. I'm also hoping Captain Marvel or Monica Rambeau will appear in the show, and we can set up The Marvels.
7. X-Men '97
This is another show that I'm very confused about. This show is going to be, like, a revival of the X-Men animated series from the 90s. Which is awesome. And I'm excited to see a new version of the X-Men, because they are awesome. The reservation that I have about this show is simple: I will be incredibly upset if this is the X-Men's MCU debut. I want their debut to be a big deal. And a Disney+ revival of the animated show from the 90s is not that big of a deal.
6. Agatha: House of Harkness
Now, I am still kind of skeptical of this show. I don't really know where the character of Agatha Harkness is going to be taken in this show. She was left in Westview, and I felt like that was a good way to defeat her. However, Kathryn Hahn is loads of fun in this role, and I do want to see more of Agatha Harkness in the MCU. I don't know if she'll do a good job with her own show and I hate the goofy title for this series, but I am holding out some hope for it.
5. She-Hulk
This is another one that is a gender swap of a hero from the Infinity Saga. However, I think She-Hulk is a much cooler character that Ironheart and I think since Hulk was not super prominent in the Infinity Saga, we can explore some of his villains and powers in a much deeper way. I'm excited to see the return of Abomination and my fingers are crossed that the Leader will return from The Incredible Hulk. That movie is not one of the best in the MCU, but I'm super happy that Kevin Feige still acknowledges its existence. That's cool. And I enjoyed the first look that we got. Once again, there wasn't much there, but enough to raise my anticipation a little bit.
4. Hawkeye
Hawkeye looks like a light-hearted, fun Christmas adventure inside the MCU. Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner will be tons of fun to watch in this show. I think that Hawkeye paying for his run as Ronin is a great idea for the show. However, where Hawkeye has me hooked is the return of Yelena Belova. I want to see how she takes her revenge on Clint. That will be very interesting. I wasn't crazy about the clip dropped during the Disney+ day special, but I'm still excited.
3. Moon Knight
Oscar Isaac is joining the MCU! I love Oscar Isaac, and I'm super hyped to see his introduction into the Marvel universe. And the character of Moon Knight is one of the coolest ideas for a superhero ever. He's a vigilante with multiple personality disorder. The first tease that we got for this show was short but very, very sweet. It gave me a Batman-type vibe. And that is incredible. I cannot wait to see a full trailer for this show. I'm very excited for this.
2. Loki Season Two
I absolutely adored the first season of Loki. It changed the MCU forever by introducing Jonathan Majors and creating the multiverse. I'm sure Loki and Sylvie will have to face Kang the Conqueror in season two. He will appear first in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but I really want to see what time-bending things will happen in the second season of Loki.
1. Secret Invasion
Secret Invasion is one of the most famous Marvel comic book storylines ever. In that run, the Skrulls slowly invaded Earth by disguising themselves as humans and superheroes. Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury will be the main protagonist of the show, and he is joined by other stars such as Ben Mendelsohn and Emilia Clarke. I am so hyped to see the Skrulls invade the MCU, and a Nick Fury-lead show is music to my ears. This is definitely the MCU show I am most excited for.
